Rosslyn Keynote

About Us

The merging of two well-established music businesses in the year 2000 was not so much the start of a new era but more, a fresh lease on life for both strands of Rosslyn-Keynote Music Ltd.

Rosslyn Woodwind Supplies, initiated by Ross McKeich and later developed by his widow Aroya, had served Australasia's double reed community for over two decades.  In the meantime Keynote Resources had become established as a trusted supplier of quality school music resources under the direction of Murray Lennox and was notable for the introduction of the ABC "Sing" series to New Zealand schools.

Since the "marriage" of the two companies, Murray and Ngaire have expanded the range of products and now have a major third strand – choral music.

The strength of the company is built on integrity of product and efficiency of service, whilst aiming to give the best possible value.

Meet the Staff
Murray and Ngaire Lennox are the owners of Rosslyn-Keynote Music Ltd, a company respected throughout Australasia.

Murray Lennox
Murray brings to the firm a life-time of musical experience which includes over ten years of classroom teaching and more than twenty years as a school music adviser.  His professional training is in singing, having performed in musicals, opera, oratorio and recitals, and is widely appreciated for his choral conducting skills.  He is Choral Director at St Mary's in Merivale, Christchurch, and Music Director of the Risingholme Singers and regularly conducts for Television New Zealand's "Praise Be" programme.  Murray has written a number of orchestral settings for school ensembles, along with songs and anthems for school and church choirs, one of which, "Albatross" was selected for the ABC "Sing" 2001 series and twice for the Christchurch Schools' Music Festival.

In his more relaxing moments, Murray is a keen photographer, complementing this development of imagery with his skills as a picture framer.

Ngaire Lennox
Accounting and office management are the valued strengths that Ngaire, (pronounced "Ny-ree"), contributes to the business.  From early days in local government administration, through to senior secretarial positions in large educational institutions, Ngaire has also been responsible for accounts management and the development of sound book-keeping systems that keep the wheels of our business turning.  She is a discerning listener, and, as every musician knows, a good audience is an essential part of every performance!

With a passion for embroidery, Ngaire is a skilled cross-stitcher and has recently branched into the field of creative needlework.

Murray and Ngaire have two adult daughters, two grandsons and two granddaughters.
